HiRISE (High-Resolution Imaging Science Experiment)
HiRISE (High-Resolution Imaging Science Experiment) is a powerful camera on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter that captures detailed images of the Martian surface. It can resolve objects as small as about 30 centimeters (roughly one foot), allowing scientists to study surface features, monitor climate changes, and select landing sites for future missions. HiRISE helps us understand Mars’ geology, landscape, and potential habitability by providing high-quality, close-up images from orbit, significantly enhancing our knowledge of the red planet.
