Hip Injuries

Hip injuries refer to damage in the hip region, which includes the bones, muscles, and surrounding tissues. Common types include fractures, strains, and bursitis. Fractures, often from falls or accidents, can be serious, especially in older adults. Strains occur when muscles or tendons are overstretched, typically from sports or heavy lifting. Bursitis is inflammation of the bursae, small fluid-filled sacs that cushion the hip joint. Symptoms might include pain, swelling, and reduced mobility. Treatment can involve rest, physical therapy, or, in severe cases, surgery, depending on the injury's nature and severity.
