High-altitude balloon

A high-altitude balloon is a large, lightweight balloon filled with a gas like helium or hydrogen that rises into the upper atmosphere. It carries instruments, called payloads, to collect data on atmospheric conditions, weather, or space environments. These balloons can reach altitudes of up to 40-50 kilometers (about 25-30 miles) above Earth's surface. They expand as they ascend due to decreasing pressure, and eventually burst or are safely recovered after their mission. High-altitude balloons are valuable tools for scientific research, weather monitoring, and testing equipment in near-space conditions.
