Herbig Haro objects

Herbig-Haro objects are bright, glowing patches of gas and plasma that form when jets of material ejected by young, forming stars collide with nearby clouds of gas and dust at high speeds. These interactions generate shock waves that heat the gas, causing it to glow visibly. Typically found in stellar nurseries, they provide insights into the early stages of star formation. Herbig-Haro objects are often seen as small, colorful patches or knots near young stars and can change over time as the jets and surrounding material evolve.
