Hepatic Tumors
Hepatic tumors are abnormal growths that develop in the liver. They can be benign (non-cancerous), like hemangiomas or cysts, or malignant (cancerous), such as primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) or metastases from cancers elsewhere in the body. These tumors may cause symptoms like pain, swelling, or jaundice, but sometimes they are found during imaging tests for other issues. Diagnosis often involves imaging scans and biopsy. Treatment options depend on the type, size, and spread of the tumor and may include surgery, medication, or other therapies. Early detection improves management and outcomes.
