Henri G. von Karman
Henri G. von Karman was a pioneering engineer and physicist known for his contributions to aerodynamics and fluid dynamics. Born in 1881 in Hungary, he was instrumental in developing theories that helped design aircraft and rockets. His work laid the groundwork for modern aerospace engineering. Von Karman is also famous for the Karman vortex street, a phenomenon that occurs in fluid flow. He founded the California Institute of Technology's (Caltech) aeronautics department and was involved in several significant research projects, including work for NASA, influencing the future of flight and space exploration.
