Hem Chandra Vikramaditya, also known as Hemu, was a 16th-century Indian ruler and military leader who briefly established a significant kingdom in northern India. Originating from a humble background, he rose through military prowess and became the chief minister and later the king after winning key battles. Hemu is renowned for his tactical skill and leadership during a turbulent period of Indian history, notably his short reign as a monarch before being defeated in 1556. His legacy lies in his contributions to regional stability and his role as a prominent warrior and administrator during the turbulent era of the decline of the Delhi Sultanate.
