Heavy Episodic Drinking
Heavy Episodic Drinking, often called "binge drinking," refers to consuming a large amount of alcohol in a short period, typically enough to significantly impair your judgment and coordination. For men, this generally means drinking five or more drinks within about two hours; for women, four or more drinks. This pattern of drinking can increase the risk of accidents, health problems, and dependence. It’s a common behavior in some social settings but can have serious consequences for both individual well-being and public safety. Recognizing and moderating this pattern is important for maintaining health and safety.
