hatching

Hatching is the process where a bird, reptile, or insect emerges from an egg after developing inside it. The embryo grows by consuming the egg’s nutrients until it’s ready to break free. When conditions are right—such as the right temperature and humidity—the hatched animal uses an eggshell or shell membrane to push out or break through, entering the world outside. Hatching marks the transition from an embryo to an independent organism, allowing it to start feeding and growing on its own. It’s a natural part of the reproductive cycle in many species.
