Harappan Script

The Harappan script refers to the symbols used by the ancient Indus Valley Civilization (circa 2600-1900 BCE), which thrived in present-day Pakistan and northwest India. It consists of around 400 unique signs, most of which are etched on seals, pottery, and other artifacts. Despite extensive research, the script remains undeciphered, meaning we can't fully understand the language or information it conveys. The lack of bilingual inscriptions, like those found in other ancient scripts, complicates efforts to decode it. Understanding this script could significantly enhance our knowledge of the Harappan culture and society.
