Halo

A halo is a circular or arc-shaped optical phenomenon that appears around the sun or moon, caused by the refraction and reflection of light through ice crystals in high-altitude clouds. These ice crystals bend the light at specific angles, creating a glowing ring or halo that can have various shapes, such as a complete circle or partial arcs. Halos are often seen during cold or winter weather and do not indicate any danger; they are simply the sky’s natural display of light interacting with atmospheric ice crystals.
