
Gus Dur (Abdurrahman Wahid)
Abdurrahman Wahid, commonly known as Gus Dur, was an Indonesian political and religious leader who served as the country's fourth President from 1999 to 2001. A prominent Muslim scholar and leader of Indonesia’s largest Islamic organization, Nahdlatul Ulama, he was known for promoting pluralism, religious tolerance, and democracy.
