Group of States against Corruption (GRECO)

The Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) is an initiative of the Council of Europe that aims to improve member states' efforts in combating corruption. Established in 1999, GRECO monitors countries through regular evaluations and recommendations on how to strengthen their laws and policies related to corruption. Its primary focus is on promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity within public institutions. By providing a platform for member states to share best practices and learn from one another, GRECO helps create a collective approach to fighting corruption across Europe.
