Great Bath

The Great Bath is an ancient public bathing structure located in the Indus Valley city of Mohenjo-Daro, which dates back to around 2500 BCE. It is one of the earliest examples of urban planning and engineering in history. The rectangular pool, measuring about 12 meters by 7 meters, was constructed with baked bricks and sealed with bitumen to hold water. It likely served a communal or ritualistic purpose, emphasizing hygiene, social interaction, and possibly religious practices. The meticulous craftsmanship and sophisticated drainage system reflect the advanced civilization of the Indus Valley.
