Grand Condé, officially known as Louis II de Bourbon, Prince de Condé, was a prominent French military leader and nobleman in the 17th century. Born in 1621, he played a significant role in the Wars of Religion and later in the Fronde, a series of civil wars in France. Known for his military prowess, Condé was celebrated for his victories against Spain and his tactical genius in battles like at Rocroi in 1643. His legacy remains significant in French history, symbolizing the complexities of noble power during a transformative period for the country. He died in 1686.
