Granada War

The Granada War (1492) was a conflict between the Catholic Monarchs of Spain, Ferdinand and Isabella, and the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, the last Muslim stronghold in Iberia. After years of tension, they launched a military campaign to conquer Granada, aiming to unify Spain under Christianity. The war ended with Granada's surrender in January 1492, marking the completion of the Christian Reconquista and establishing Spain as a united, Catholic nation. This victory also led to the expulsion or conversion of Muslims and Jews in the region, significantly shaping Spanish history and culture.
