Gonadal tumors

Gonadal tumors are abnormal growths that develop in the reproductive organs—testicles in males and ovaries in females. These tumors originate from cells that normally form the reproductive tissues and can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). They may cause symptoms like swelling, pain, or hormonal changes, but sometimes have no noticeable signs. Early detection is important for effective treatment, which may include surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy. Understanding and monitoring risk factors—such as family history or certain genetic conditions—can help in early diagnosis and management of these tumors.
