Golgotha
Golgotha, often referred to as Calvary, is the site where, according to the New Testament of the Bible, Jesus was crucified. The name "Golgotha" means "place of the skull" in Aramaic, which may refer to the appearance of the location or to historical events that took place there. It is traditionally located just outside the walls of Jerusalem. Golgotha holds significant religious importance for Christians, symbolizing sacrifice and redemption, as it is associated with the crucifixion, an event central to Christian beliefs about salvation.
