Globus Syndrome, often referred to as "globus sensation," is a condition where individuals feel a persistent lump or foreign body sensation in their throat, despite having no actual obstruction. It is considered a functional gastrointestinal disorder, meaning it's related to how the body functions rather than an identifiable physical cause. This sensation can be accompanied by anxiety or stress, and while it can be uncomfortable and distressing, it typically does not indicate a serious health issue.
