Global Stocktake
The Global Stocktake is a process under the Paris Agreement that occurs every five years. Its goal is to assess the world's progress in combating climate change and meeting international climate commitments. During this review, countries evaluate their collective efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate impacts. The findings inform governments about what is working, what needs improvement, and help set more ambitious climate goals for the future. Essentially, it’s a check-up on the planet's health regarding climate action and our cooperative efforts to address the climate crisis.
