Ghaznavids
The Ghaznavids were a Persian-speaking dynasty that ruled parts of Central and South Asia from the 10th to the 12th centuries. Founded by Sabuktigin, they expanded their empire through military conquests, especially into India, and are known for their cultural achievements, including the patronage of art, architecture, and learning. Their capital was Ghazni, which became a vibrant center of Persian culture and Islamic influence. The Ghaznavids played a significant role in spreading Islamic culture into India and maintaining a powerful presence in the region until their decline in the early 13th century.
