Ghaznavid Empire
The Ghaznavid Empire was a Muslim dynasty that existed from the early 10th to the early 12th century, centered in present-day Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Originating from Turkic and Persian roots, they expanded their territory through military conquests, particularly into India, where they established control over parts of northern India. The empire was known for its strong military, rich cultural contributions, and support for Persian art and literature. Its capital was Ghazni, in modern Afghanistan. The Ghaznavids played a key role in the spread of Islam and Persian culture across South Asia during their peak.
