Germ Layers

Germ layers are the three primary layers of cells that form during early embryonic development, guiding the formation of all body parts. These layers are the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. The ectoderm creates skin, hair, and the nervous system. The mesoderm develops muscles, bones, blood vessels, and internal organs like the kidneys. The endoderm forms the lining of the digestive and respiratory systems. These layers work together, each giving rise to specific tissues and organs, laying the foundation for the complex structures of a functioning body.
