George V

George V was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions from 1910 until his death in 1936. He was born on June 3, 1865, and was the second son of Edward VII. His reign saw significant events, including World War I, during which anti-German sentiment led to the royal family changing their name from the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to the House of Windsor. George V focused on modernizing the monarchy and connecting with the public. He was also a key figure in promoting national unity. He passed away on January 20, 1936.
