George O. Wood

George O. Wood (1946–2022) was a prominent American Pentecostal pastor and spiritual leader. He served as the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, one of the largest Christian denominations in the U.S., from 2007 to 2017. Known for his emphasis on biblical teaching, church growth, and global missions, Wood also authored several books on faith and leadership. His leadership helped shape Pentecostal Christianity in the modern era, advocating for holiness, evangelism, and social engagement within the church community.
