George Meany Center for Labor Studies

The George Meany Center for Labor Studies, now known as the National Labor College, was established to provide education and training for union members and labor leaders. Named after George Meany, a prominent labor leader, it offered programs focused on labor relations, union organizing, and workforce development. The college aimed to empower workers by equipping them with knowledge about labor rights, advocacy, and leadership skills. Although it closed in 2014, its legacy continues in promoting labor education and strengthening the labor movement through informed leadership and active participation in advocacy efforts.
