Generative Adversarial Networks
Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are a type of artificial intelligence consisting of two neural networks: a generator and a discriminator. The generator creates new data (like images), while the discriminator evaluates whether the data is real or fake. These networks compete against each other— the generator tries to make better fakes, and the discriminator gets better at spotting them. This process continues until the generator produces data so realistic that the discriminator can no longer distinguish it from real data. GANs are widely used in creative fields, from art to deepfake technology.
