gas balloon
A gas balloon is a type of balloon filled with a lighter-than-air gas, such as helium or hydrogen. Because these gases are less dense than the surrounding air, the balloon rises when released. Gas balloons are often used for celebrations, scientific research, and aerial photography. Helium is commonly preferred for safety reasons since it is non-flammable, unlike hydrogen. They are different from regular balloons filled with air, which do not rise. When released into the atmosphere, gas balloons eventually pop or deflate due to changes in pressure and temperature at higher altitudes.
