Gallic religion
Gallic religion was practiced by the ancient Gauls, a Celtic people in Europe. It centered on a polytheistic belief system, honoring gods and goddesses associated with natural elements, war, fertility, and sovereignty. Rituals often involved offerings, sacrifices, and ceremonies conducted at sacred sites like groves, rivers, and stone monuments. Druids, as priests and scholars, played a key role in spiritual and judicial matters. The religion interconnected with daily life, emphasizing harmony with nature and community. After Roman conquest, many practices were suppressed or merged with other beliefs, leading to the gradual decline of traditional Gallic religion.
