Galician language
Galician is a Romance language spoken in the autonomous region of Galicia in northwest Spain. It evolved from Latin and is closely related to Portuguese, sharing many linguistic features with it. Galician has its own unique grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. It is one of Spain’s official languages, alongside Spanish, and is used in government, education, and media within Galicia. The language reflects the region's rich cultural identity and history, and efforts are ongoing to promote its use and preserve it amidst globalization and language shift challenges.
