Further Education Funding Council
The Further Education Funding Council (FEFC) was an organization in the UK responsible for allocating funds to further education colleges and institutions. Established to ensure that these colleges received adequate financial support, the FEFC aimed to improve access to education and training for people beyond secondary school. It monitored quality and performance of institutions, aiming to enhance educational outcomes. In 2001, FEFC was replaced by the Learning and Skills Council, which took over its funding responsibilities and expanded its focus to include skills training and lifelong learning.
