
Friedrich IV of the Palatinate
Friedrich IV of the Palatinate (1542–1609) was a German nobleman and ruler of the Palatinate, a region in present-day Germany. He was a member of the Wittelsbach family and a Calvinist, influencing religious events of his time. Friedrich IV supported the Protestant Reformation and was involved in the political conflicts following the Peace of Augsburg.
