Frederick III
Frederick III (1836–1888) was the German Emperor and King of Prussia for a brief period in 1888, known as the "Year of the Three Emperors." He ascended the throne after his father, Wilhelm I, but reigned for only 99 days due to illness, his rule characterized by liberal ideals and aspirations for reform. Frederick was a supporter of constitutional monarchy and sought to modernize the German Empire while promoting civil liberties. His unfulfilled vision for Germany was overshadowed by the more conservative policies of his successors, particularly his son Wilhelm II, who moved in a different political direction.
