Franz Joseph Haydn (brother)
Franz Joseph Haydn’s brother, Michael Haydn, was also a talented composer and musician born in 1737. Like his famous sibling, Michael contributed significantly to classical music, especially in sacred choral works and symphonies. While Franz Joseph is best known as the "Father of the Symphony" and the classical period’s influential figure, Michael's work was respected in Vienna and Salzburg. Their musical careers were somewhat parallel, and Michael was appreciated for his craftsmanship and for helping shape the development of choral and instrumental music in the late 18th century.
