Frankish knights
Frankish knights were medieval warriors from the Frankish kingdom who served as heavily armored, horseback soldiers. They played a key role in warfare between 5th and 9th centuries, often fighting for kings or local lords. Knights were trained fighters, typically from noble families, and their armor and weapons symbolized their social status. They followed a code of conduct called chivalry, emphasizing loyalty, bravery, and protection of the weak. As part of feudal society, knights also held land granted by their liege in exchange for military service, helping to maintain regional stability and expand territorial influence.
