Francisco Largo Caballero

Francisco Largo Caballero was a Spanish political leader and trade unionist, born in 1869. He played a key role in the labor movement and became a prominent socialist politician. During the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), he served as Prime Minister of the Spanish Republic. Known for advocating workers' rights and social reforms, he sought to modernize Spain's economy and politics. His leadership was controversial, especially during the Civil War, when tensions between different political factions increased. After the war, he went into exile following the victory of Franco's dictatorship. He is remembered as a significant figure in Spain's socialist and labor history.
