Four-Year Sejm

The Four-Year Sejm was the main legislative assembly of Poland from 1919 to 1922, established after Poland regained independence in 1918. Its purpose was to create a new constitution, pass laws, and shape the country's political and economic systems. Despite its name, it often faced delays and political disagreements, reflecting the challenges of building a new government after WWI. The Sejm played a key role in stabilizing Poland’s political landscape and laying the groundwork for the Second Polish Republic’s institutions.
