Four Levels of Evaluation

The Four Levels of Evaluation are a framework for measuring the effectiveness of training programs. Level 1, Reaction, gauges participants' feelings and satisfaction. Level 2, Learning, assesses what they’ve actually learned or gained. Level 3, Behavior, looks at how their workplace actions change after training. Level 4, Results, measures the overall impact on organizational goals, like increased sales or improved quality. This approach helps organizations understand if training is engaging participants, building skills, applying knowledge, and achieving desired outcomes, ensuring the program’s value and guiding improvements.
