Fossey Fund

The Fossey Fund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation and study of mountain gorillas in Africa. Founded in 1967, it works to protect these endangered primates through research, anti-poaching efforts, habitat preservation, and community education. The organization also provides veterinary care and promotes sustainable practices to ensure gorillas and local communities can coexist safely. Named after primatologist Dian Fossey, the Fund’s goal is to ensure the survival of gorillas and their ecosystems for future generations while raising public awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation.
