Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is a surgical hair restoration technique used to treat hair loss. In this procedure, a strip of skin with hair follicles is removed from the back of the scalp, where hair is often thicker. The strip is then divided into smaller units containing one to four hair follicles, which are implanted into thinning or balding areas of the scalp. FUT typically leaves a linear scar but allows for the transplant of a large number of grafts in one session, promoting natural-looking hair growth over time.
