Flood geology

Flood geology is a concept proposing that the geological features and layers of Earth’s crust were primarily formed by a global or large-scale flood, such as the biblical Flood of Noah. Proponents argue that many rock formations, fossils, and sediment layers can be explained by rapid deposition during such a flood, rather than slow, gradual processes over millions of years. This idea contrasts with mainstream geology, which sees these features as the result of long-term natural processes like erosion, sedimentation, and tectonic activity. Flood geology is often associated with young Earth creationism and is not widely accepted within the scientific community.
