Float glass process
The float glass process involves melting raw materials like sand, limestone, and soda ash at high temperatures to form molten glass. This molten glass flows onto a thin, precisely controlled layer of molten tin, which is denser and acts as a smooth, non-stick surface. The glass floats peacefully, forming a flat, uniform sheet as it cools and solidifies. Afterward, it is carefully cooled, cut to size, and treated for various uses like windows or mirrors. This method produces high-quality, flat glass with even thickness and clarity.
