Film (photographic)
Film in photography refers to a light-sensitive material used to capture images. Traditionally made of thin plastic coated with chemicals, film records photographs when exposed to light in a camera. This exposure creates a latent image, which can be developed using specific chemicals to reveal the picture. Films come in various types, including black-and-white and color, and different formats, like 35mm or medium format. Though digital photography is more common today, film maintains a dedicated following for its unique aesthetic qualities and the tactile experience of the photographic process.
