Fetal teratoma

A fetal teratoma is a rare type of tumor that develops in a fetus, often containing various types of tissues like hair, muscle, or bone. It originates from abnormal cell growth during development. These tumors can occur in different parts of the body, commonly in the sacrococcygeal area (near the tailbone), and may grow large enough to cause complications. Early detection through prenatal imaging and monitoring is essential.
