Federal National Council
The Federal National Council (FNC) is an advisory body in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that consists of 40 members. Half are elected by citizens, while the other half are appointed by the rulers of the emirates. The FNC plays a role in reviewing and suggesting amendments to proposed laws, discussing national issues, and representing the public's views. Although it does not have legislative power to enact laws, it serves as a forum for dialogue between the government and the people, enhancing political participation in the UAE’s governance.
