Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM) is a technique used in broadcasting to transmit multiple signals simultaneously over a single communication channel. This is done by allocating different frequency bands for each signal within the broader spectrum. For example, in radio broadcasting, one station might use a frequency of 101.1 MHz while another uses 104.5 MHz. FDM allows efficient use of the available bandwidth, enabling various audio, video, or data streams to be sent without interference, ensuring listeners can receive multiple channels clearly at the same time.
