Fazlullah was a Pakistani militant leader known for commanding the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant organization involved in insurgency and terrorist activities. Originating from the Swat Valley, he gained notoriety for his strict interpretation of Islamic law and his use of radio broadcasts to spread his ideology and inspire violence. His leadership contributed to significant violence and instability in Pakistan, especially between 2007 and 2013. Fazlullah was targeted and killed in a drone strike in 2018, marking a significant event in Pakistan’s efforts to combat insurgency.
