Fariduddin Ganjshakar, commonly known as Baba Farid, was a revered 12th-century Sufi saint and poet from what is now Pakistan. He is considered one of the first Punjabi poets and is notable for his spiritual teachings that emphasized love, devotion, and the quest for God. His poetry, written in Punjabi and Persian, reflects deep mystical insights and has influenced later Sufi thought, including the works of Sikhism's Guru Nanak. Baba Farid’s teachings continue to be celebrated for their message of compassion and humanity, making him an important figure in South Asian spiritual history.
