Fairchild M-62
The Fairchild M-62 was a military cargo aircraft developed in the late 1940s, based on the civilian Boeing 377 Stratocruiser. It featured a double-deck design and was used primarily by the U.S. Air Force for transport missions during the early Cold War period. Equipped with four turboprop engines, the M-62 could carry troops, equipment, and supplies over long distances. Although it was intended for strategic airlift roles, only a few were produced, and it was eventually phased out, highlighting its limited operational history but significance in early military aviation developments.
