Ewen Montagu
Ewen Montagu was a British lawyer and intelligence officer during World War II, best known for his role in the successful deception operation known as Operation Mincemeat. This covert operation involved the use of a fake corpse carrying misleading documents to deceive Nazi Germany about Allied invasion plans. The ruse contributed to the success of the Allied invasion of Sicily in 1943. Montagu's work demonstrated the importance of misinformation in military strategy, and he later recounted his experiences in the book "The Man Who Never Was," highlighting the ingenuity and creativity involved in wartime intelligence operations.
